James B. Beam Conference - March 2025 CARERC
At the James B. Beam Institute Distillery Conference, our outreach booth enabled us to engage with distillery industry professionals and to showcase the work of the CARERC, especially our ongoing efforts to enhance safety within distilleries. While traffic to the booth was slower than expected, there were some great conversations which centered around our research, educational initiatives, and the development of professional safety standards. We also promoted an upcoming safety training session aimed at hazard assessment and safety checklists for small distilleries, and had a number of people provide their contact information so that we could provide them with additional details. Additionally, we distributed a survey designed to validate and evaluate the distillery professional safety standards, ensuring they are aligned with industry needs. This outreach provided an opportunity to foster collaboration and gather valuable feedback, helping us continue to advance distillery safety practices.
